Il XXI Convegno Italiano di Meccanica Computazionale e l'VIII Riunione del Gruppo Materiali AIMETA è rivolto a tutti gli studiosi nell'area della meccanica applicata, con particolare riguardo alla meccanica dei solidi, delle strutture, dei fluidi e dei materiali. L'obiettivo del convegno è costituire un punto di incontro fra i ricercatori di varie estrazioni che utilizzano e sviluppano metodi analitici e numerici avanzati per la soluzione di problemi dell'ingegneria e delle scienze applicate, allo scopo di favorire la circolazione, anche interdisciplinare, dei più recenti sviluppi della meccanica computazionale e della meccanica dei materiali. Il format del convegno tenderà a sollecitare e favorire il confronto, dedicando ampio spazio alla discussione, anche informale. Particolare rilevanza sarà data alla presentazione di applicazioni e alla simulazione di processi e prodotti innovativi di interesse industriale e ingegneristico.
The joint XXI National Conference of Computational Mechanics and the VIII Meeting of the AIMETA Materials Group is of interest to all the researchers in the area of applied mechanics, with special regard to solid mechanics, structural mechanics, fluid mechanics, and mechanics of materials. The aim of the conference is to provide a meeting for researchers from different disciplines who are developing and using advanced analytical and numerical methods for the solution of problems of engineering and applied sciences, in order to facilitate the interdisciplinary exchange and dissemination of the most recent developments in the fields of computational mechanics and mechanics of materials. The format of the conference is designed to enhance interaction and discussion among participants. Particular relevance will be given to the presentation of applications and simulation of processes related to innovative products of industrial and engineering impact.

- 29 February 2016 Submission of proposals for special sessions specifying, in a free format: names of the organizers (with affiliation), title of the session, specify please GIMC or GMA, short abstract. Each special session must include at least 5 presentations.

Sede del Convegno / Venue
Il convegno avrà luogo presso l'IMT Alti Studi Lucca. Le due sessioni parallele saranno organizzate presso il pittoresco complesso di
San Micheletto in Via San Micheletto 3, all'interno del centro storico di Lucca.
La sede del convegno può essere raggiunta dalla stazione ferroviaria di Lucca in 20 minuti a piedi o con l'autobus (linea LAM ROSSA), la cui fermata si trova
a fianco dell'entrata della stazione ferroviaria. I ticket possono essere acquistati nel caffè della stazione (1.20 Euro). Per coloro che giungono in Piazzale Verdi in autobus provenienti
dagli aeroporti di Pisa e di Firenze, la sede del convegno è raggiungibile in 20 minuti a piedi oppure sempre in autobus con la linea LAM ROSSA. I ticket possono essere acquistati presso lo sportello
Vaibus della stazione degli autobus.
Dall'aeroporto di Pisa o dalla stazione ferroviaria di Pisa Centrale:
L'aeroporto internazionale di Pisa è collegato alla stazione ferroviaria di Pisa Centrale mediante navetta. La stazione ferroviaria di Pisa Centrale
è collegata con Lucca con treni aventi cadenza oraria. La durata del viaggio è di circa 30 minuti.
In alternativa, è possibile raggiungere Lucca dall'aeroporto internazionale di Pisa mediante bus gestito da Autolinee F.lli Lazzi (da Lunedì a Domenica).

La fermata del bus è situata nel parcheggio autobus in prossimità dell'entrata dell'aeroporto. Il viaggio dura circa 1 ora.
L'ultima fermata è la stazione dei bus in Piazzale Verdi a Lucca. IMT è raggiungibile a piedi in circa 15 minuti dal Piazzale Verdi.
Dall'aeroporto di Firenze o dalla stazione ferroviaria di Firenze Santa Maria Novella:
L'aeroporto internazionale di Firenze è collegato con Lucca mediante uno shuttle delle Autolinee F.lli Lazzi durante la settimana
(Lunedì-Sabato) ed il viaggio dura circa un'ora. La fermata "Peretola" si trova a circa 300 m dall'aeroporto.
Si può raggiungere Lucca anche con il treno regionale dalla stazione ferroviaria di Firenze Santa Maria Novella,
collegata all'aeroporto di Firenze mediante shuttle, vedasi Trenitalia per gli orari.
The venue is the IMT School for Advanced Studies Lucca. The two parallel sessions will be organized in the
pictoresque San Micheletto building in Via San Micheletto 3, within the historical city centre of Lucca.
The location can be reached from the railway station of Lucca in 20 minutes by foot or by bus (line LAM ROSSA) whose stop is in front of
the railway station. Bus tickets can be purchased in the café of the railway station (1.20 Euro).
Alternatively, it can be reached by bus from Piazzale Verdi (where coaches and shuttles arrive from the airports) in 20 minutes by foot or again
by the city bus line LAM ROSSA.
From/to Pisa Airport or Pisa Centrale railway station:
The international airport of Pisa is connected to the railway station Pisa Centrale by shuttle. Then, Lucca can be reached
by train with hourly frequence. The trip from Pisa to Lucca lasts about 30 minutes.
It is also possible to reach Lucca from the international airport of Pisa by coach operated by Autolinee F.lli Lazzi every day (from Monday to Sunday).

The bus stop is located in the bus park near the entrance of the airport. The trip lasts about 1 hour.
The last stop is the bus station in Piazzale Verdi in Lucca. IMT is only a 15 minute walk away from there.
From/to Firenze Airport or Firenze Santa Maria Novella railway station:
The international airport of Florence is connected to Lucca via a shuttle operated by Autolinee F.lli Lazzi during weekdays (Monday-Saturday) and it takes about 1 hour.
The bus stop "Peretola" is located at 300 m from the airport building.
It is also possible to reach Lucca by train from Firenze Santa Maria Novella railway station, which is also connected by shuttle to the international
airport of Florence. Train options and timetables can be found on the website of Trenitalia.

Programma / Program
La conferenza avrà luogo dal 27 al 29 Giugno presso il complesso di San Micheletto (Via San Micheletto 3), con una welcome reception la sera del 26 Giugno presso il complesso di San Francesco (Piazza San Francesco 19). L'evento sarà organizzato
in due sessioni parallele, una del GIMC e una del GMA. La cena sociale avverrà il 28 Giugno all'interno del campus San Francesco dell'IMT Alti Studi Lucca.
Si prevede una escursione durante il tardo pomeriggio del 27 Giugno.
Oltre alle sessioni generali, si prevedono sessioni speciali su tematiche specifiche (vedasi l'elenco successivo).

The conference will take place from the 27th to the 29th of June in the San Micheletto complex (Via San Micheletto 3) with a welcome reception in the evening of the
26th of June in the San Francesco Complex (Piazza San Francesco 19).
Two sessions, one for GIMC and another for GMA, will run in parallel. The social dinner will take place the 28th of June within the
San Francesco campus of the IMT School for Advanced Studies Lucca. A guided excursion is planned for the late afternoon of the 27th June.
In addition to general sessions, special sessions are expected (please click on the links below for their description).
